Medicare/Medical Information -old
In general, Medicare pays about 80% of an allowable amount, which varies by state and by products and you; the beneficiary is responsible for the 20% balance. However, if you have secondary Insurance such as Non-HMO Medical or other PPO private insurance, they MIGHT pay the 20% balance depending on their policy rules and regulations. As a result, there might not be an out of pocket expense for you. Please note, we can only process Medicare claims for customers with NON-HMO Medicare Insurance. We will verify your coverage and eligibility before processing your claim.
Since Medicare implemented the Competitive Bidding Program in 2013, unfortunately, we are now no longer able to bill Medicare for the following items:
- Hospital beds and Mattresses,
- Power or Manual wheelchairs
- Rolling or “tennis ball” walkers.
However, there are still many other items that we can continue to bill Medicare if you deem qualify by your physical. We can continue to bill Medicare for the following items:
- Hoyer Lift
- Lift Chair (Only partial payment, please call our office for more details)
- Lymphedema Machine
- Back, Knee, Wrist Support Braces
- Diabetic Shoes
- And more
